With the plethora of beauty and skin care products, it has become much more difficult to choose one that can address our varying skin problems. There are those that promise everlasting youth and beauty while there are those that deal with whiter skin. However, some of these products contain harsh chemicals that can do more harm than good. Don’t worry. This article:
- Has natural skin treatment samples you can use as alternative for the over-the-counter and commercial beauty products
- Tells you why going natural rocks
Let me end your dilemma in choosing the best skin care product. This article has everything you need to cleanse your skin and keep it blemish-free.
Commercial skin care products are cool. They save you the hassle of concocting your own products. However, Mother Nature can give your skin the beauty and care it deserves if you give her a chance. The following are the natural skin treatments you can do at home:
- Carrot – a grated carrot mixed with a spoon of honey can be used as a face mask. Just gently rub this to your face. Leave it on for approximately fifteen minutes and wash off.
- Guava – pound a guava and add oatmeal and lemon juice. Mix well and apply to your face. Rinse off after 20 minutes.
- Lemon - whip an egg white and store in the freezer for fifteen minutes. Take it out of the ref and add lemon juice along with some grated tomatoes. Gently apply on your skin and wash off. Do this for about a month to see results.
- Pineapple – slice, dice, and mash your pineapples and add in orange or lemon juice. Combine with wheat flour and then apply to your face and neck. Scrub off after a few minutes.
- Strawberry – combine five strawberries, a spoon of china clay, and orange juice. Mix well and apply to your face. Gently scrub your face using a cold towel after roughly 20 minutes.
The next time you want a skin care product, search your kitchen and cupboard for cheap and effective natural remedies. Why? This is because the recipes you make at home work as well as those you find in the market today. In case you didn’t notice, the ingredients in those commercial products such as alpha hydroxy acids (a.k.a milk), sugar, and more are found at home. The only differences you get from the commercial products are the harsh chemicals, shelf-life extenders and the packaging. Without those two, the homemade and commercial products are totally identical.
I do not aim to discourage you from using commercial products. My goal here is to introduce you to using natural products as your natural skin treatment as I have personally experienced its effectiveness for myself. Like me, you too can have a clear skin without using harsh chemicals. So what are you waiting for? Start making your natural skin treatment now.
